Thank you, Indianapolis and Chicago, for making the closing weekend of the Real Magic Roadshow’s Spring Tour so much fun. We had loads of laughs, created amazing memories, shared magic with newbies and pros, and best of all - we did the thing we love to do. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. Not to mention all of the magic clubs in and around Indianapolis and Chicago who helped get the word out. An extra “tip of the hat” to Pedro Nieves Bosque of Magic Inc – a true gent and the man who makes that Chicago institution tick.

I did some quick math, and I calculated that Mark Mason, Dirk Losander, Christian Schenck, Daisuke Seo, and myself traveled a combined 56,000 miles over the last few weeks. That’s a lot of a ground to cover and all that travel comes with an immense amount of planning (and a fair bit of stress). We all have to take on multiple roles to make these events happen. (Did I mention our sound crew is me and a laminated sign? 😊) We do our absolute best to make the day fun, entertaining, and try to provide value way beyond the cost to attend. It’s airplanes, coffee, rental cars, luggage carts, rushed meals, early mornings, and late nights.

But when it all comes together – it really is something special.

Another great weekend of Real Magic Roadshows has come and gone! Thank you to all the incredible people who joined us for our Pittsburgh and Washington events. The rooms were brimming with incredible magic, scores of great friends, some old school Elmwood alumni, mysterious shelled peanuts, and one kid in a green hat that totally understood what makes these events so special. We’ve been absolutely astonished by the support for our Spring tour – your response and enthusiasm are what makes these events tick!

Thank you to IBM Ring 13 for joining us in Pittsburgh and helping to promote our event as well as the upcoming IBM Convention. Thank you to IBM Ring 50 in Washington for their incredible assistance in getting the word out. And finally, thanks to Mr Mike Hummer! Mike worked alongside the legendary Al Cohen for many years and we were so very happy that he could bring that knowledge to our sold-out Washington Metro event.

Our final weekend for the 2023 Spring tour happens in just a few days. Next up - Indianapolis and Chicago, don’t miss out! 

I’m finally getting a chance to post a public thank you to everyone who made our San Diego and Los Angeles Roadshows such a blast! We had two great crowds and a completely sold-out event in LA! It’s been several years since we’ve all been out to the West coast, and we were overwhelmed by the tremendous response. We had happy faces, magic celebs, floating furniture, a traveling fish, and even some cherry pie bribery!  (I guess you needed to be there to understand some of that. 😉)

​Thanks to James Kellogg from San Diego Magic Shop and Brent Geris from The Magic Apple for joining us. Brick and mortar magic shops play an important part in keeping the magic scene alive and we are always so happy when the local shops can join us.

One of the most common questions we receive is, “Are you coming to – insert hometown here?”

We try hard to choose central locations that are easy to access from a wide region. Even still, over the years we have had attendees travel extraordinary distances to join us.

• Our London event had attendees from Paris and Belgium.
• A Boston event had an attendee fly in from the island of Bermuda. 
• Our Leipzig event had a group drive in drive from Prague.
• And our most recent Texas events had an attendee join us in both Austin and Dallas from a town in Kansas – a round trip of nearly 1300 miles!

In fact, virtually every event has attendees join us from within a radius of at least 120 miles. Most have someone who has traveled much further. If you think that’s a lot of effort, you’ll be shocked by how far we’ve come to be there! 😊 Virtually all of those guests shared with us how much they enjoyed the event and how it was absolutely worth a bit of travel time.

If we’re heading within a few hours' drive of your location, there is a good chance that is as close as we can get for the foreseeable future. We wish we could visit every town that had magicians – but it just isn’t possible. If we’re heading within a few hours of your hometown and you’re still on the fence about joining us, here’s a suggestion:

Gather up some magic buddies and plan a road trip!

According to the interwebs, the original and acceptable gift for a tenth anniversary was tin or aluminum.

The current acceptable gift is diamonds.

If that doesn’t illustrate the increase in costs since 2013, I don’t know what does.

This March marks the tenth anniversary of our very first Roadshow tour. How are we celebrating it? By hitting the road for another outstanding group of cities! And we’re still doing it for the same price we did 10 years ago.

For less than the price of a movie ticket, you’ll get to see some of the coolest magic around from a pretty nifty group of magicians. Honestly, we love doing these events and based on ten years of feedback - our audiences seem happy about it too.
